I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! But what if I told you this ice cream had a whole cupcake and icing blended into it? With a mini cupcake on top? You would obviously think "this can't be real!" Well, it's so real and happening at Viva La Cupcake in Roanoke Virginia.

When I discovered this cupcake boutique I told my husband that this had to be our next date night and sure enough, it was.

To make matters even more perfect a restaurant we had been wanting to try, Fork In The Alley was actually right beside it! This restaurant is literally nestled in an alley right behind Viva La Cupcake. They have an awesome front patio if you prefer outdoor seating. The inside is on the small side which makes it super cozy, with wood tones and string lights lining the ceiling. I give the atmosphere a 10/10. I had an awesome Philly Chicken Cheese Steak and my husband got two of their hot dogs. Their menu offers 14 different kinds of hot dogs to choose from! Plus the option to build your own. This place is a hidden gem, a must go to.

Back to the best part, Dessert.. With just a short walk down the sidewalk we had arrived at Viva La Cupcake. The boutique is super cute and HUGE. It looks to be an old historic house that they renovated into their shop. The inside offers tons of seating and different rooms to choose from. Once you get your dessert there are several cute stations to take pictures with your pretty dessert; every Instagramers' dream. This treat boutique rotates through over 200 different kinds of cupcakes, with featured Freakshakes to choose from each day. You can buy just a homemade cup cake or venture out a little more and get a freak shake. Either way, you can't go wrong. Being a Georgia Peach, I went for the Peaches and Cream Freak shake. All I can say is my was mind blown. The shake was so pretty, I give the presentation a 10/10. Served in a cute mason jar with a huge straw, to ensure you to get the perfect mixture of blended cupcake and icecream with every sip. The rim of the jar was rolled in cupcake crumbs and topped with whipped cream and fresh peaches. To top it off was a mini peach cupcake that sat in the middle of the straw. These Shakes run $4.95. Head over, and get your sweet tooth on.
