One of my favorite weekend getaways is to Lexington Virginia. I'm a sucker for cute small towns and all the unique charm they hold. Lexington is a gorgeous town. The streets are always filled with gorgeous greenery and flowers. As you walk the streets the old historic buildings offer gorgeous architecture. Parking is stress free since they offer free parking at a parking garage right in downtown. Lexington has something for everyone. Whether you want to stroll around and hit up the local coffee shops, hit up the local stores or grab a meal and desert, you are covered. Depending on where you are this is a great day or weekend trip.

Places to Stay:

The Georges - A luxury stay, right in downtown Lexington. Perfect for anniversaries or if you just want to treat yourself

Abigail Inn - A Bed & Breakfast. This is a B&B full of historic charm right in downtown Lexington

Robert E Lee Hotel - Southern charm hotel right in downtown Lexington with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains

Lexington Coffee Roaster - This coffee shop locally roast all their coffee! From nitro cold brew coffee to an espresso bar this coffee shop/roaster is a must try

Pronto Caffe & Gelateria - Iced coffees, espresso, cappuccino and so much more this is one of my absolute favorite places in Lexington

Food

Pronto Caffe Gelateria - I LOVE Pronto. From pastries to sandwiches, this places makes the perfect place for brunch. Pronto can also cure your sweet tooth with a full selection of Gelato. With flavors changing weekly you will want to visit again and again. Plus they offer Getalo drowned in espresso.. need I say more?

Pure Eats - This place is a local hub full of charm that only uses local ingredients. The outside looks like a charming danish cottage (pictured below). From homemade donuts with different flavors daily to a full breakfast & lunch menu this is a perfect place for brunch!

Blue Sky Cafe - This cafe is so CUTE! From soups, sandwiches, coffees and some of the best focaccia I've ever had. Blue Sky Bakery is a must.

The Palms - This restaurant has so much fun character. From the gorgeous patterned wall paper to the red crown molding ceiling, the atmosphere is enough to make you want to stay awhile. With a full bar, lunch & dinner menu there is something here for everyone. My personal favorite is the Wafflewhich - Southern Fried Chicken | Smoked Cheddar | Red Eye Aioli | Buttermilk Waffle | Maple Dipping Sauce... I have made trips to Lexington for this alone.

Napa Thai - Authentic Thai food that will blow your mind.

After you have eaten to your hearts content you should be ready to explore all downtown Lexington has to offer. The town is alive and thriving from all the local shops that keep its energy alive. Walking the streets you will stumble upon great shops, hidden gems and parks but here are some of my personal favorite places.
