Pack your bags because we are headed to Georgia!
Have you ever went somewhere and felt like you where in a dream? Like could this even be real? I love places like that, they take you somewhere that you could of never imagined yourself. My hubby and I hit the road to Georgia and visited Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island. This is a state park so there is a entrance fee of $6.00 but that is a small price to pay for what you're about to experience. If you're like me, I'm always concerned about parking. Parking is easy with TONS of pull off parking all along the road on the island.
This park is GORGEOUS... Magic really! Not only is the beach covered in solid drift wood trees but it also offers so many lush trails to walk and explore. ( wear shoes on the trails... there are some sneaky wild cacti hiding in the sand and plants.. we learned that the hard way haha) Driftwood beach is voted one of America's top 10 most romantic beaches. We saw four weddings happen in just the 3 hours we where there! What a magical place to get married... unreal.
You can defiantly spend a whole day here, from swimming to exploring there is so much to do. If you have a hammock bring it along because you can tie off in the trees on the beach and take the best nap of your life.
This place was honestly unreal and I can't even begin to explain how cool it was in words. This is one of those unique places that you will want to go back to over and over again. I can't wait to go back and spend more time there! Driftwood Beach is a bucket list MUST and if you live in Georgia and haven't been GO. While my words can't do it justice hopefully the photos below will transport you into the magic... All I'm saying is whether you're near or far GO GO GO.
